Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe guitarist, DJ Williams, has assembled an all star cast of musicians for his solo work featuring members of the hottest bands on the scene. It’s a funk rock powerhouse from Denver, CO which has consisted of members from KDTU, Dave Matthews Band, Lenny Kravitz, Slightly Stoopid, Dr. John, Lyrics Born, Soulive, and many others led by Williams’ original compositions and flaming guitar work. These shows at Mercury Cafe will be the last of the Shots Fired shows with a new theme every week of the residency and lots of special guests starting Dec 6 and every Tuesday after in December! With an emphasis on compelling melody, refined songwriting, and an extremely diverse musical palette, DJ strives to push new boundaries as a guitar player. Just don’t let the name confuse you because this musician is laying out grooves any “DJ” would love to sample.
